Description
Tapia Bay is a Sunseeker Manhattan 66 — a classic British flybridge yacht whose name stands for exactly what many of my clients are looking for: a familiar brand, plenty of space and a layout made for a full week on board. Built in 2006, refitted at the beginning of 2026.
Sunseeker builds its Manhattan line around life on board. Aboard Tapia Bay you see this in three places: the sheltered aft-deck cockpit with dining table, the open flybridge with sun pad and second helm station, and the wood-panelled saloon with its wrap-around sofa. The warm mahogany interior gives the yacht a character that more modern boats often lack.
Below deck, four cabins sleep up to eight overnight guests — from the owner's cabin amidships to the double cabin in the bow and a cabin with two single beds. During the day, up to twelve guests can be on board. Two MAN engines with 1,100 hp each drive her at a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots; the Manhattan 66 is a calm, good-natured yacht, not a sports boat — and that is exactly what makes her so pleasant for relaxed family weeks.
Her home port is Palma de Mallorca. On board are a skipper and a hostess, a Spark jet ski, a jet tender, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling equipment.
The charter week starts at €24,000 in low season, €25,200 in mid season (June/September) and €27,600 in high season (July/August), including crew, plus fuel. If the name Sunseeker means something to you and you are looking for a spacious, sociable yacht for a week with the family, Tapia Bay is a good choice.
