Description
The SeaWater II is a Sunseeker 86, built in Poole in 2020 — a 26-metre flagship from the British yard that stands out to me for one reason above all: Captain Miguel and his four-person crew have been working aboard in an unchanged line-up for more than four years. As a charter guest, you feel that continuity from day one.
Spread across three decks, the SeaWater II combines the sporty lines of the younger Sunseeker generation with the comfort of a classic megayacht. The sheltered aft deck with a dining table for ten, the open flybridge with bar, bistro table and generous sunbathing areas, and the foredeck with a second sun lounge give your group three clearly separated outdoor spaces — in full sun, out of the wind or in the shade.
Below deck, four cabins accommodate up to eight overnight guests: a master suite with its own dressing room and marble bathroom, a VIP double cabin and two twin cabins that convert to doubles. Up to twelve guests can be on board during the day. All four cabins are en suite with marble bathrooms; the master has twin washbasins and a separate shower.
With two MTU 12V2000 diesels of 1,950 hp each, the SeaWater II moves briskly: 24 knots cruising speed, 30 knots top speed. Active stabilisers keep her steady — under way as well as at anchor.
The charter package includes a Williams 4.35 m tender, jet ski, Seabob F5, wakeboard, water skis, two SUPs, towables, snorkelling gear and a hydraulic bathing platform. The berth at Club de Mar in Palma is included in the charter price.
In high season (July/August) the charter rate is €61,000 per week or €10,200 per day; in low season €51,000 per week or €8,500 per day — each plus 21% VAT and 35% APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance, billed separately). For demanding charter weeks with a large family group or a small circle of friends, the SeaWater II is my recommendation in the 26-metre segment.
