Description

The Seek is a Lagoon 630 Power — and thus, after our Fountaine Pajot 44, the second catamaran in my charter portfolio, considerably larger and intended for a different charter story. At 19.5 m long and an unusual 10 m wide, the Seek offers a sense of space I find nowhere on monohull yachts of comparable length.

Lagoon is a French yard that has been building catamarans for more than 30 years; the 630 series (this one built in 2016) is the motorised variant of the well-known sailing model, made for families who want more comfort, more stability and more equipment than a classic sailing yacht offers — without the compromise on speed that a pure sailing charter brings with it.

Four cabins, all en suite: a master cabin with double bed (fitted with a baby cot on request), a twin cabin with Pullman berth, a twin cabin that converts to a double, and a bunk cabin. Up to nine overnight guests, up to twelve people during the day. The crew (captain, deckhand, stew/chef) is used to multi-generation charters.

The main salon sits on one level with the aft deck — the two flow seamlessly into each other, creating a 60 m² living and dining area. The flybridge is unusually large for a catamaran, with dining table, lounge and sun beds. With two Volvo 300D engines and a consumption of just 70 litres per hour, the Seek is also a very economical charter — important when a charter route takes in several islands.

The charter season of "Seek" has one particularity I mention honestly up front: in the window of **1 June to 15 July** the yacht is reserved for her owner and is not available for charter. All other seasons are open:

• **1 May – 15 July (outside the owner window) and 16 September – 31 October:** €25,000/week • **16 July – 15 August (high summer):** €35,000/week or €5,800/day • **16 August – 15 September (late summer):** €29,000/week • **Day charter (outside the blocked window):** €5,000/day

All prices plus 21% VAT and 30% APA (on-board allowance, billed separately). The berth at Arenal Club Náutico is included in the charter price.

The water-sports equipment package includes a tender (Hilfiger 80 hp), two Seabob F5S, four stand-up paddleboards, a banana tube, a doughnut, an adult and a children's wakeboard, and full snorkelling gear. For a charter week with family and older children around Mallorca and the Balearics, the Seek is one of my best recommendations.
