Fountaine Pajot 44

The Fountaine Pajot 44 is the first catamaran in my charter portfolio — and a yacht I am particularly proud of. Fountaine Pajot is a French yard with over 40 years of catamaran experience; the New 44 model (2025 design) represents the latest generation of luxury catamarans for the Mediterranean.

At 13.50 m long and an unusual 7.50 m wide, the FP44 offers a sense of space well beyond that of classic monohull yachts of the same length. The main deck combines a generous cockpit area with dining table, an open galley and a bright salon — the seamless doors between inside and outside turn the entire main deck into a single living and dining area.

Below deck there are three en-suite double cabins plus an additional small children's cabin — up to eight overnight guests, and up to twelve guests during the day. The flybridge holds a second helm station with lounge and sunbathing area; the entire foredeck is laid out as a sunbathing and lounging space.

The FP44 is designed for comfort and self-sufficiency: solar panels and a watermaker minimise dependence on marinas, and an electric bathing platform makes getting into the water easy. The equipment includes air conditioning and heating, generator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, ice and water makers, a BBQ plancha and water toys.

The charter week starts at €5,300 in the low season (February–April), rises to €9,700 in the mid season (May–June) and reaches €12,600 in the high season (July/August). Day charters are available from €2,100 (low season; mid €3,100 · high €3,600). Included are VAT (21%), captain and a luxury package (bed linen, towels, snorkelling equipment, stand-up paddleboard, coffee machine, Wi-Fi); fuel (~€15/h), cleaning (€380) and a security deposit of €2,000 are extra. Optional extras: early check-in €300, Sea Bob €300/day, hostess €200/day.
